Goal
The UAE 2022 National Day Animation was a 2D animated project that captured the essence of the United Arab Emirates and the visionary spirit of Sheikh Zayed. I was responsible for conceptualizing and storyboarding the animation, which was brought to life through the collaborative efforts of myself and Michel Sallom.
The UAE Women's Day 2022 Animation is a solo project that I worked on as part of my full-time role as an animator at Abjad Design, under the direction of Sheikha Bin Daher. Created to celebrate the achievements and empowerment of women in the UAE, I was responsible for the entire animation process—from concept development and storyboarding to animating and adding sound effects.
The animation was designed to tell the story of the UAE’s unity and the light that emerged from this union, reflecting Sheikh Zayed's vision for the nation. The color palette was inspired by the natural hues of the UAE's deserts and landscapes, emphasizing the connection between the country's cultural heritage and its natural environment.
Drawing inspiration from the strength and resilience of women, I employed 2D frame-by-frame and cut-out animation techniques to craft a visually captivating narrative. This project provided an opportunity to push my creative boundaries and enhance my animation skills, ensuring that each frame effectively conveyed the spirit of UAE Women's Day.
